Normanton and Karumba

Normanton home of the Gulflander a little train that runs to and from Croydon. It was meant for bigger things but politics got in the way. Also home to the Empire flying boat service between the wars as a refueling stop, London to Sydney.

Karumba on the coast, fresh sea breeze and a walk along the beach.. Big prawn fisheries but we couldn't find them. So no prawns.

1. Veggie van turns up in Normanton
2. Lunch stop Karumba.
3. Flying boats
4. Brolgas on the road to Karumba
5. Gulflander
6. Normanton Station
