Ellendale Pool, Greenough Settlement

Someone recommended this camp site and we are glad we took their advice, a really beautiful setting, shame about the flies. The flies have prompted us to get the front panel which has a net screen for the tent.

Everything went well until the last morning when we had a flat battery, luckily we asked for a jump start before we were the only ones left on the site.

Greenough on the Brand Highway is an abandoned town but being preserved by the National Trust. Too many floodings over the years has made the town not practical. The DVD playing in one of the buildings records views of people who did live there right up to the 50's.
