Blowering Dam and the Tumut River

Blowering Dam is part of the Hydro Electric Scheme of the Snowy River. I had no idea how big the scheme is and the number of dams that make it up. Also the Tumut Pond Dam that's the curved grey one.

I wanted to do the same thing as the kids in the Tumut river, ride down on the current but they told me the water temperature was 11 degrees. I declined.

The suspension bridge was built by the Army in one day as a training exercise. It crosses the Tumut River just below the Blowering Dam.
